According to the competition's organizers, "All gold medal-winning wines from our regional wine shows, Australia-wide, and the National Wine Show are invited to enter. We bring together a stellar judging panel of winemakers, media commentators, retail trade people and the Winewise crew to decide the best of the best." This rigorous selection process ensures that only the finest wines are recognized, making our victory all the more meaningful.

The Story of Notus Grenache 2022

Crafted by the talented Corey & Simon from Sons of Eden, the Notus Grenache 2022 is a wine embodying the Barossa Valley's essence. "Three vineyards were selected for this wine ranging from 60 to 90 years of age. The oldest vineyard is located within the southern foothills of the Barossa Valley between Lyndoch and Roland Flat with the balance from standout vineyards on the gentle slopes above Tanunda and Nuriootpa," they explain. This careful vineyard selection is key to the wine's unique character and depth.

The 2022 vintage was ideal for Grenache, with a warm ripening period that provided perfect conditions for developing complex and vibrant wild berry characters and supple ripe tannins. The result is an elegant and powerful wine that showcases the best of what the Barossa offers.
