Lienert Vineyards Roussanne 2020

$30.00

Description: A classic southern Rhone white variety which has become the first white wine produced by Lienert Vineyards. A delicious summer drink with complex stone fruits and herbal tea. Sits somewhere between a Chardonnay and a Semillon on the white wine style spectrum.

Vintage: 2020

Grape Variety: Roussanne

Region: Barossa Valley - Gomersal

Reviews & Awards: Medium to light yellow colour, bright, suggesting barrel involvement, which is backed up by the bouquet which is toasty and developed, mellowing nicely, with savoury flavours on palate confirming that it's a wine with the nuttiness and forward character of a barrel-fermented wine. The oak is very subtle. The finish is very dry and appetisingly savoury, also soft and easy going. A dry white of body, richness and presence, but also subtlety, the finish lingering long. A light tannin grip adds the final touch. It would be a good food wine, with poultry for example, roast chicken. 95 points Huon Hooke, The Real Review
