Purple Hands - Grenache Kings!

The Royal Adelaide Wine Show is a big game for South Australian winemakers. Over 3,000 wines judged by expert panels. Assessed 'blind', judged purely on the contents of a tasting glass without knowledge of producer, region or vineyard. To come out on top, with a trophy in your hand, is big news for a small winemaker.

Craig Stansborough and Mark Slade know the awards dinner 'walk of fame' quite well, having collected the trophy for the best Grenache at the Adelaide Wine Show 3 of the last 4 years. No big news in my book - having tasted their Grenache, I'd be more surprised when they didn't collect the big prize! These blokes have a magical way with old vine Barossa Valley Grenache.

The 2021 Purple Hands Old Vine Grenache was released just before Christmas, and it is again a stunning wine. Not just for the exceptional quality and pitch perfect style in the glass, but equally for the mind blowing value, at just $34 a bottle.

I've included 4 bottles in this six pack alongside two bottles of their 2019 After Five Wine Company Shiraz, rated 96 points by James Halliday and selected in last year's Top 100 wines. At $180 a six pack, plus $15 freight, you'll save 24% off our wine room price. Add a few extra bottles when you go shopping and we'll ship any order over $200 with free delivery.
