Whether you’re joining us for a leisurely lunch or a relaxed Friday night dinner, this menu reflects the best produce from the region, with dishes thoughtfully designed for all tastes and dietary preferences. From vegan and vegetarian creations to gluten- and dairy-free options, we’ve made it easier for everyone to enjoy the food and wine experience Essen offers.
A Taste of What Awaits
Spring brings light, bright flavors, like the Barramundi crudo, beautifully balanced with watermelon, dragonfruit, and mint—a dish as refreshing as the first warm breeze of the season. For those looking for a vegetarian delight, the carrot textures with radish, basil, and tofu offer a playful yet refined combination of fresh produce.
On warmer days, the Coorong mullet pairs perfectly with fennel, green olives, and lemon, highlighting the simple joy of summer dining. If you’re in the mood for something plant-based, the harissa-roasted cauliflower with warrigal greens delivers layers of flavor that make it a standout dish.

Relax at a table indoors or take your seat on the terrace, where the Barossa landscape becomes the perfect backdrop to your meal. Essen is open Wednesday to Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm, with Friday night dinners from 6 pm—a perfect way to ease into the weekend.
