Barossa Restaurant: Book Your Experience at Essen
Located in the heart of a community of farmers and artisan producers who provision our kitchen, our menus reflect subtle changes in produce availability as we progress through the seasons.
Our kitchen garden also supplies us with a ready source of fresh, home grown produce.
Head Chef, Kane Bose.
Essen, by Artisans of Barossa
Essen presents a contemporary, innovative interpretation of seasonal Barossa food with an à la carte or five course Winter menu. Open Wednesday to Sunday for a 11am - 4pm lunch service and Friday night for dinner service, from 6 pm.
Essen is a wonderful word meaning 'to eat'. At Artisans, we have adopted 'essen' as a way of describing how we like to approach the enjoyment of food. With wine. A way of sharing everything that is good and beautiful in our special part of the world, be it in a glass or on a plate, with our friends and our guests.
Reservations are essential to avoid disappointment.
*Our menu is subject to change with the seasonality of produce and below is a SAMPLE menu only.
Delikatessen & Providore
Open daily from 10am, Delikatessen offers relaxed all-day eats and drinks in the heart of Barossa. Artisan wines by the glass and bottle aside, this is also the home of our other passion – great coffee! Take a seat in the Delikatessen, on the terrace or on the lawn and enjoy some of the best vineyard views Barossa has to offer. If you’re on the run, take away is also an option.
The Providore is stocked with Artisan wine and an abundance of great produce sourced from Barossa. A place to browse and shop for great local artisan wine and food.
Monday and Tuesday: Generous platters of local cheese & chacuterie.
Wednesday to Sunday: Refer to our sample menu.
Reservations are available and take priority. Whilst walk-ins are welcome, planning ahead with a reservation, especially on the weekend, will avoid disappointment.
*Outdoor table availability is weather dependent.
