There’s an initial hit of ripe macerated plum, cassis, and red pastille, backed by layers of olive tapenade, liquorice root, violets, cedar, amaro herbs, vanilla, and smoked meats. Broody and full-bodied, it offers deep dark fruit, chocolate-dipped cherry, and baking spice, framed by fine, powdery tannins and a cassis-like finish that lingers with great sustain.
