The 'Grenache Project' is a passion-driven endeavour that explores the full potential of Grenache. Our winemakers, driven by their shared love for this varietal, join forces to create limited-edition wines that highlight the unique expressions of Grenache from various vineyards across the Barossa. Each release is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that emerges when talent and collaboration converge. 

Since 2017 Artisans of Barossa has presented six wines, made by six winemakers, from one Barossa vineyard in an experiment designed to explore the influence of winemaking on the terroir of a single Barossa Grenache vineyard. Each year, the vineyard has moved to a different grower in another sub-region of Barossa. 

The Project has received acclaim from some of Australia’s most respected wine commentators, and each new release is eagerly anticipated.

Additionally, we are excited to introduce our newly released 'Discover Barossa' tasting and lunch experience, available seven days a week. This immersive journey takes you through a selection of our collaboratively created wines, expertly paired with lunch in Essen, our contemporary and innovative expression of Barossa food. It’s a true celebration of the Barossa’s gastronomic delights and showcases the craftsmanship and artistry of our winemakers.
