Tasting Note

A brooding, complex nose layered with blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry, laced with white pepper, rosemary and a touch of savoury spice. Hints of walnut, black tea and game add depth. The palate walks a tightrope of power and finesse – medium to full-bodied, with sour plum, red cherry and dried herbs flowing through a supple, structured frame. Bright acidity and fine tannins pull everything into line, finishing long and poised.

A shiraz sourced across several Barossa subregions: Moppa, High Eden, Light Pass and the Eastern Foothills; 35% whole cluster. Deep crimson with aromas of satsuma plum, blueberry and dark cherry fruits, hints of star anise, sage, crushed rocks, dark chocolate, vanillin oak, subtle crushed herbs, olive tapenade, pan juices and purple florals. Full bodied and wonderfully balanced with gorgeous pure fruit, melt-in-the-mouth tannins.
