As we celebrate International Shiraz Day, we present a unique opportunity to experience the icon shiraz from each of our eight Artisan winemakers. Presented in the Artisans wine lounge with quintessential Barossa views across the valley floor, and through to the Barossa ranges.

Enjoy great wine, superb food and warm hospitality at Fest ESSEN by Artisans of Barossa. We’ll serve you a four course menu featuring contemporary, innovative interpretations of seasonal Barossa food, and championing our region’s proud tradition of shared table dining.

Event: Big, bold & utterly glorious. Masterclass hosted by Greg Hobbs & Corey Ryan
At the turn of the millennium, a new generation of Barossa winemakers set out to conquer the wine world. Armed with red wines of deep colour, rich flavour and bold structure. The ensuing response was emphatic in its endorsement of the Barossa as one of the world’s great wine regions.

Event: A new take on Barossa. Masterclass hosted by Daniel Hartwig & James Lienert
The Barossa is one of the world’s most exciting wine regions. It’s wine narrative an aggregation of established and new names, old vines, remarkable diversity and the constant hum of 500 grape growers and 180 winemakers working together to create a stream of delicious and fascinating Barossa wine.

Event: The Grenache Project Masterclass
Artisans Pete Schell (Spinifex) and Craig Stansborough (Purple Hands Wines) host this two hour masterclass, sharing insights into the approaches taken by Barossa winemakers to craft benchmark Barossa Grenache.

Event: Six Origins of Shiraz Masterclass
This two hour masterclass explores the influence of vineyard origin on the flavour, character and texture Australia’s grand statement of wine, Barossa Shiraz.

Event: Winter Wine Down
Starting Friday June 10, and continuing for each Friday through winter, Artisans of Barossa will stay open till late, serving eats, drinks and warm winter vibes.
A family-friendly event and a great way to relax and unwind with friends.

South Australia’s Best Red!
Huge congratulations to Artisans of Barossa’s Purple Hands Wines for taking home not one, but TWO trophies at the 2021 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
The 2019 Purple Hands Planta Circa Ancestor Vine Grenache trumped the Grenache classes to take home the trophy for Best Grenache in Show, plus the Governor’s Trophy for Best South Australian Red Wine in Show.
Six Origins by Artisans of Barossa
Six Origins follows in the footsteps of the hugely successful Grenache Project by the Artisans of Barossa.
Whereas the Grenache Project explored the influence of the winemaker on the flavour and character of Grenache, the Six Origins project will turn your attention to the influence of origin on Barossa wine.
